So “who is who” when it comes to the characters mentioned on Peanut Butter & Jillie?
Jillie aka Jillian
The brains behind all the madness that is Peanut Butter & Jillie. Growing up, my nickname has been Jillie in my family and was sometimes even shouted in the halls of my high school as “Jillie Fave”, which I’m sure many of my teachers sincerely appreciated.
I grew up in the most amazing place to raise a family – State College, PA. There is where I had all of my crazy and awkward childhood experiences, learned to play the violin, spent hours in dance classes preparing for dance competitions, learned how to drive a stick-shift manual transmission car and discovered that math and numbers are my strength. After graduating high school, I moved down the road and enrolled in the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University. There, I met my boyfriend, joined a sorority, graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and landed a job in Corporate Finance at a major healthcare company.
Today I live in Philadelphia, PA and continue to work in the same company I joined after I graduated from Penn State. I feel really lucky to have found a company that I continue to love working for as well as be able to live in one of the greatest cities!
This is my boyfriend of
six seven! years and “domestic partner”. We met while we were freshman in the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University in University Park, PA. He has always been there to support me through good, bad and evil. Sometimes I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. We moved in with each other into an apartment in Center City, Philadelphia in beautiful May 2014. He’s originally from Bucks County, PA. He has since taught me everything Philadelphia related and even sparked my avid following of the Philadelphia Flyers. He is a huge British Premiere League fan (wildly devoted to Chelsea), loves all things German (except for Bayern Munich, but that’s a different story), knows more than I will ever know about accounting and will try any and every beer under the sun.
Mom & Dad
Without these two, there would be no Jillie! These two baby-faced individuals are my parents, Bob and Phyllis. Currently living in Central Pennsylvania (Central PA for those of you not familiar with the Keystone state), these two have been married for 40+ years. They also met during their college days also and I hope to have a marriage as thriving, vibrant and healthy as theirs someday. Originally from Southwest, OH these two go back and forth between Central PA and Cincinnati, OH in the fall to cheer on their beloved Cincinnati Bearcats Football team. Their dedication to their team and school is so amazing, they were featured in the UC Alumni Magazine! My parents are so cool.
The oldest of the Favorite sisters, Jennifer at times was my primary caregiver whenever our parents went on vacation or had overnight business trips. Translation: Jennifer has some of the most insane memories of me as a child that no one else ever had the privilege to see. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, has expansive knowledge of pop culture that spans generations and knows the lyrics to every single song – which always made car rides home to Central PA during the holidays fun.
Adrienne, Hailey and Hayden
As they say, “second the best” Adrienne is the second oldest of my sisters. She has been blessed with two beautiful (read in all CAPS) daughters and lives down Georgia. I have always admired Adrienne’s tenacity which has taught me a lot about living my life. Hailey is the oldest of my nieces and has the same passions for baking as I do. Hayden and I both share an obsession of all things LEGO and cat-related.
The closest in age to me, Amanda and I obviously fought over clothes the most. I mean, it’s completely natural in a family of all girls right? Amanda was the main accelerator in igniting my interests in healthy living and even sent me links to many blogs I admire and read every single day. Recently she has discovered her own dietary sensitivities which has made me more aware of the food that I am eating and using to fuel my own body. She also lives in Brooklyn, NY (but not with Jennifer) and is a textile designer for major department store brands.
Obviously there are many more people involved in the making of PB&Jillie, but these are the few that you should see recurring throughout many of my posts.
